More Than Bedcovers
Discover the fascinating history of quilts. This program will also include a display of antique and modern quilts. (Program is one hour in length and requires tables to display quilts.)



From Sheep to Shawl
In times past, folks had to not only hand sew their clothing, but they had to make their own yarn, make their own dye to color the yarn, then weave the fabric . . . before they could even begin to sew a new garment! This program will explain the process from raw sheep's wool to finished fabric. (Program is one hour in length and requires one table and one chair.)



What IS a Dulcimer?
Learn about the history of the mountain dulcimer. Enjoy some toe-tappin' music and sing along to some traditional tunes.  (Program is one hour in length and requires one table and one chair.)



Learn to Spin on a Drop Spindle
In this two-hour program, you will learn how to spin sheep's wool into yarn using a drop spindle.  (Program is limited to 10 participants.)

Dyeing with Natural Dyes
In this two-hour program, participants will learn the basics for using plants as dye materials.  One pot of dye will be used as a demonstration and all participants will take home yarn samples of the colors obtained.

Dyeing with Indigo
Discover the magic of dyeing with natural indigo in this two-hour workshop.

Kimberly has been presenting programs to schools, nursing homes, and in other public venues for over 20 years.  She has been playing the mountain dulcimer since 1981 and has placed in the top five at the Galax Fiddler's Convention.  She has been a quilter, spinner, dyer, weaver and knitter for over 25 years.
