I just totally missed the sour cherry season here in Virginia this past year. Southern Comfort! What a great idea! Yum!

I will bet that the cherries would taste wonderful dipped in chocolate! I found this website about removing the pits. I have not tried it, but it looks fairly easy. http://localfoods.about.com/od/summer/ss/PitCherries_2.htmKimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09682464748142064146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618206471505981977.post-53150318563121164312011-12-29T10:30:55.320-05:002011-12-29T10:30:55.320-05:00I used mostly sour cherries from Door County WI be...I used mostly sour cherries from Door County WI because thats where I first heard of Bounce. I used sugar instead of honey and Southern Comfort for the booze. Yum. I want to dip the cherries in chocolate. Had them in WI too. Yum. But I am not sure how to do it. They have pits. I had some last year that had the pits and the bartender just told me about them. They were strong but with a good cheese or a nice dark stout. Yum they would be great!!!Queen Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14709381119407691521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618206471505981977.post-8285131350338983282011-12-26T16:23:38.772-05:002011-12-26T16:23:38.772-05:00I think if I had used 1/2 sour cherries, that it w...I think if I had used 1/2 sour cherries, that it would have been better. Hopefully, I will think of this next year when sour cherries are ripe and I will just have to make another batch!Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09682464748142064146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618206471505981977.post-14145025697649180472011-12-26T14:41:09.916-05:002011-12-26T14:41:09.916-05:00Do you think it would have been less sweet if you ...Do you think it would have been less sweet if you had been able to find sour cherries?Raehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05637440385721443337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618206471505981977.post-67070534970644135812011-12-26T08:23:06.166-05:002011-12-26T08:23:06.166-05:00Glad it turned out so well.Glad it turned out so well.Leslie Shelorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04628795421403196341noreply@blogger.com
